AMENITIES

Alencon is 10 minutes away and has a recently constructed indoor / outdoor Swimming Pool, plenty of excellent restaurants and some lovely walks within the town. Le Mans, famous for its 24hr Motor Racing circuit, parts of which can be driven along well worth a visit.

Fye has a boulangerie, epicere, hotel and 2 typical bars. La Fresney sur Sarthe is 3 kilometers away and is a larger village with all that typical French villages have to offer. Market days are on Saturdays.

Close to Fye there is beautiful countryside to explore including the Foret Perseigne and Foret D’Ecouves both part of the Parc Natural du Normandie. The Alpes Mancelles region on the banks of The Sarthe offer canoeing, mountain bike routes, and walks.  There is a Forest Activity Centre called Dommaine du Gasseau close to St Leonard Du Bois that is highly recommended and offers a real challenge to those brave enough to take it on !
